Grid (High Score) — Reward-based Spatial Exploration
○In reviewPlatform: HTML · English · · verified 79d ago
Description
Participants face a grid of 50 covered squares and have 50 picks per round to maximise their cumulative reward. Each round draws its reward sequence from a fixed file (no shuffle); the first newly-revealed square is assigned the first value, the second newly-revealed square the second value, and so on, matching the deployed LoL battery behaviour. Re-clicking an already-uncovered square returns the same value it first revealed. Three rounds are played with a brief between-round summary (score this round, running average) and a final results screen with per-round breakdown and CSV download.

Task Outputs
Measure spatial exploration strategy, reward maximisation, and learning across repeated exposures to the same reward sequence.
- Total reward across rounds
- Mean reward per pick (per round)
- Improvement across rounds (round 3 score − round 1 score)
- Mean dwell time per pick
